Self check-in โ we'll send the door code and simple directions before you arrive, so you can settle in on your own schedule. There's a guide in the studio with everything you need for your stay, and check-in and check-out times are confirmed when you book.
A short walk from Marden station if you're coming by train. Driving? There's quiet on-road parking, and by prior arrangement you can use the drive โ it's shared with the main house, so just let us know when to expect you and we'll coordinate.

Yes. There's quiet on-road parking, and by prior arrangement you're welcome to use the drive โ it's shared with the main house, so it just needs a little coordination. Let us know when you'll arrive and we'll sort it.

No โ but there's a really powerful fan, and with a window at one end and the French doors at the other you can pull a lovely cool draught straight through the studio.
Not at all โ it's a very quiet spot. About the only thing you might hear is the little birds that gather in the hedge by the balcony.
Yes. There are blackout curtains on both the French doors and the window, so you can make it properly dark even on bright summer mornings.
Yes. There's a safety gate across the top of the studio, and the balcony is completely enclosed and safe. A travel cot is available, and we can provide plug socket covers if you need them.
It's an upstairs apartment with a pitched roof, and the shower room is on the floor below โ but access between the two is very easy, and most guests have found it works well. Do ask if you'd like us to talk through the layout.
Yes. It's well placed for Maidstone, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and village-based work, with fast Wi-Fi and a calm space to work from.
Yes โ the studio is handy for short work trips to Pattenden Lane and the surrounding business area.
Yes โ there's secure storage on site for bikes and e-bikes, so you can ride straight out into the lanes and countryside.
Hush Heath Estate and its vineyard are a short drive away โ easy for a tasting or a wander round the grounds, and they run a minibus into and out of the village too. We're happy to point you to the best route.
Marden has a village store, pubs, a restaurant, a cafe, the sports club and countryside routes all close by.
